South Tyneside road closures: three for motorists to avoid over the next fortnight
South Tyneside's motorists will have three road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.
But drivers will be able to take some solace in the fact that all of them are only expected to cause slight delays, of under 10 minutes.

Hide AdThe latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:
• A19, from 8pm April 11 to 6am August 12, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A19/A194 Lindisfarne Interchange north and southbound, exit slip roads, slip road lane closures for bridge maintenance.
And a further two closures will begin over the next two weeks:
• A194(M), from 8pm August 7 to 6am August 9, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A194M northbound and southbound, junction 2 to 3 lane closure for Vehicle safety fence repair.

Hide Ad• A19, from 8pm August 18 to 5am August 19, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A19 northbound, between A184 Testos exit and entry slips for renewal of carriageway.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
