A South Tyneside takeaway has been handed a new two-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

Primrose Golden Fish & Chips, a takeaway at 54 Norham Terrace, Jarrow, Tyne & Wear was given the score after assessment on February 25, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of South Tyneside's 147 takeaways with ratings, 65 (44%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
