A South Tyneside takeaway has been handed a new four-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

A South Tyneside takeaway has been handed a new four-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

Bella Pizza, a takeaway at 19 Hutton Street, Boldon Colliery, Tyne & Wear was given the score after assessment on June 15, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of South Tyneside's 142 takeaways with ratings, 67 (47%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
