A South Tyneside takeaway has been handed a new four-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

Primrose Fish Grill, a takeaway at 54 Norham Terrace, Jarrow, Tyne & Wear was given the score after assessment on September 22, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of South Tyneside's 139 takeaways with ratings, 67 (48%) have ratings of five and just one has a zero rating.
