A South Tyneside takeaway has been handed a new two-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

Wok Inn, a takeaway at 138 Commercial Road, South Shields, Tyne & Wear was given the score after assessment on December 7, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of South Tyneside's 137 takeaways with ratings, 69 (50%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
