A South Tyneside takeaway has been handed a new three-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

Master Chef_New Blossom House, a takeaway at 1 North Road, Boldon Colliery, Tyne & Wear was given the score after assessment on February 10, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of South Tyneside's 146 takeaways with ratings, 63 (43%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
