A South Tyneside takeaway has been handed a new three-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

A South Tyneside takeaway has been handed a new three-out-of-five food hygiene rating.
Shields Pizza, a takeaway at Unit 3, 5 Frederick Street, South Shields, Tyne & Wear was given the score after assessment on May 4, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of South Tyneside's 149 takeaways with ratings, 66 (44%) have ratings of five and just one has a zero rating.
