A South Tyneside takeaway has been handed a new four-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

A South Tyneside takeaway has been handed a new four-out-of-five food hygiene rating.
Pizza Corner, a takeaway at 252a Sunderland Road, South Shields, Tyne & Wear was given the score after assessment on July 7, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of South Tyneside's 146 takeaways with ratings, 67 (46%) have ratings of five and just one has a zero rating.
