South Tyneside takeaway handed new food hygiene rating

A South Tyneside takeaway has been handed a new four-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

Masterchef, a takeaway at 2 New Green Street, South Shields, Tyne & Wear was given the score after assessment on June 27, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of South Tyneside's 145 takeaways with ratings, 67 (46%) have ratings of five and just one has a zero rating.
