South Tyneside takeaway handed new food hygiene rating

A South Tyneside takeaway has been handed a new four-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

Rising Sun Inn, a takeaway at 40 North Road, Boldon Colliery, Tyne & Wear was given the score after assessment on September 22, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of South Tyneside's 148 takeaways with ratings, 68 (46%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
