A South Tyneside takeaway has been handed a new four-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

Master Chef, a takeaway at 1 North Road, Boldon Colliery, Tyne & Wear was given the score after assessment on July 27, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of South Tyneside's 140 takeaways with ratings, 67 (48%) have ratings of five and just one has a zero rating.
