Henry Sandercock
Money Editor

Henry Sandercock is the Money Editor for NationalWorld.com. He writes about pretty much everything to do with your hard-earned cash. From consumer rights, to scams and personal finance, his job is to make the cost of living crisis as easy as possible for you to understand and to arm you with knowledge that will save you money in these tough times.

Originally from Cambridgeshire, he now lives in Edinburgh with his partner Ginny and his whippet Whisper.

He studied for an MA in journalism at the University of Kent before starting his career in the garden of England as a reporter for local TV channel KMTV. He then worked at the BBC for three years as a radio producer - mostly on BBC Radio 2 with Jeremy Vine and Ken Bruce, but also on major BBC Radio 4 programmes like The World at One, PM and Broadcasting House. While news has always been his bread and butter, one of the most memorable moments of his radio career was handing a sledgehammer to Matt Lucas so he could pass it on to Rebel Wilson for her to introduce the Peter Gabriel song of the same name.

From the BBC, Henry moved to The Grocer - a trade title for supermarkets and the wider food and drink industry - where he served as a fresh foods reporter for two years.

He arrived at NationalWorld.com in September 2021 as a digital journalist. The world of money soon became his specialism as record inflation, soaring energy bills and rocketing food prices combined to create the worst cost of living crisis in decades. He writes about these things with the hope that - by breaking them down and explaining them - he will make complicated issues as simple for his readers as possible, and help them to confront the current economic challenges with as much key knowledge as possible.
