North East newest Greggs announces open date on Riverside location

The bakery chain already has lots of sites across its North East home, but a North Tyneside shopping centre has announced the opening date for its new food option.

Newcastle Quays Retail Park, located near North Shields, has said its new Greggs store will open on Friday, June 13.

Taking to social media to make the announcement, the shopping centre said: “We're thrilled to announce the grand opening of our new GREGGS store on Friday 13th June! Join us for the opening day filled with delicious treats and special offers!

“Come and celebrate with us as we bring your favorite bakes to Newcastle Quays. Whether you're stopping by for a warm pastry, a fresh sandwich, or a sweet treat, we can't wait to see you there!

“Mark your calendars and be part of this special day. See you at the new store!”

Before this opening, the nearest Greggs locations are in North Shields town centre and a bakery outlet near Howdon.

It is thought to be the tenth Greggs store in the North Tyneside area.
