Newcastle United issue official Sean Steur update after Fulham withdrawal
Sean Steur was recalled to Newcastle United’s starting line-up for the 1-1 draw at Fulham.
Matthias Jaissle played down fears that Sean Steur suffered an injury during Newcastle United’s 1-1 draw away to Fulham.

The 18-year-old was recalled to the starting line-up for the first time since September in one of four changes from the 1-0 defeat at home to Everton on Monday night.
Steur played 75 minutes at Craven Cottage, starting alongside Nico Gonzalez in midfield before Lewis Miley replaced the Spaniard on the hour mark.

There were concerns that Steur had been forced off with an injury after he was caught on the Achilles by Sander Berge while challenging for an aerial ball shortly before his withdrawal.
Sean Steur withdrawal explained
Steur required treatment, but Jaissle said his substitution shortly after was simply down to fatigue.
The Dutchman is yet to complete 90 minutes for the Magpies since joining from Ajax in the summer as he continues to adapt to the intensity of the Premier League.
“No, I think he's good, he's fine, but he felt also that the physicality is not 100% there,” Jaissle said. “That's something I mentioned already before, this is normal, if you sign a young lad, he needs to get used to that, but he did an amazing job. So, again, also something to build on.”
Not long after Steur’s withdrawal, the Magpies took the lead through Jacob Murphy, but Fulham immediately levelled through substitute Rodrigo Muniz.
