NTA Awards 2022: shortlist revealed including Ant and Dec - how to vote and full shortlist

To reflect the period of national mourning folllowing the death of Queen Elizabeth II, the NTA’s will no longer take place in September.

The 27th National Television Awards are just weeks away, and the full list of nominees have been announced, with our very own Ant and Dec once again nominated.

The show is set to be hosted by Joel Dommett once again and will bring the glitz and glamour of the red carpet to Wembley Stadium.

So, how can you vote for your favourite Geordie duo at the NTA’s? Here’s everything you need to know about the upcoming show.

When are the National Television Awards?

The NTA’s were originally set to take place on Thursday 15 September 2022, once again showcasing the best of British television.

However, to reflect the period of national mourning folllowing the death of Queen Elizabeth II, the show will now take place on Thursday 13 October 2022.

The show will be televised live on ITV from 7:30pm.

How many NTAs have Ant and Dec won?

This awards show has frequently been dominated by the northern duo. In 2021, Ant and Dec made history by winning the Best Presenter Award for the 20th time in a row.

As of last year’s award show the pair have won an astonishing 43 National Television Awards throughout their career.

What awards have Ant and Dec been nominated for in the NTAs?

This year Ant and Dec have been nominated for two awards, including a nomination for their usual Best Presenter Award.

As well as this, their show Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway has bagged a nomination for The Bruce Forsyth Entertainment Award, an award they took home in 2021.

How can you vote?

You can vote for your favourite shows and actors on the official National Television Awards website.

The voting closed at 12pm on Thursday 15 September, just hours before the originally scheduled show was set to commence. However, due to the rescheduling the voting will reopen to the public vote will resume on Tuesday 20th September at 9am and remain open until the day of the ceremony.
