5. Oreo
Oreo is a very sweet and affectionate boy, but he is also very sensitive and shy initially. He can warn you off when you first approach him, but it is all talk and within a few minutes he is usually wanting to be in your lap, purring and chatting away. Oreo just needs to feel safe in his environment, and is easily scared when faced with uncertainty. | Newcastle Dog & Cat Shelter

6. Squid (Staffordshire Bull Terrier Cross)
Squid is a million miles an hour dog, he always wants to be doing something and doing it quickly! He is a bright and active boy, boisterous at times, and ready to go at 100mph at all times. He can pull on lead and is quite strong so would benefit from a capable owner who can work on his lead skills. | Newcastle Dog & Cat Shelter

7. Serena (French Bulldog)
Serena is a delightful and adorable girl! She’s a happy and confident lady who is a pleasure to be around, she’s lovely with everyone she meets. She can be a typical French Bulldog and has her stubborn, quirky ways so would benefit from an owner who has an understanding of the breed. Serena isn’t the type of girl who wants to go climbing mountains and hiking, more the local strolls and couch potato vibe! | Newcastle Dog & Cat Shelter

8. Layla (French Bulldog)
Layla is a sweet and affectionate little lady who has a real playful and daft side! She’s been a pleasure to spend time with whilst at the shelter and quickly makes friends with everyone she meets! Layla does have some quirks which she will require ongoing training and management for. | Newcastle Dog & Cat Shelter
