Fans of Laura have since taken to social media to warn her against Adam, who has appeared on various reality television shows, and has built up a ‘womaniser’ reputation.

But for fans of the sports presenter wanting to know more about her new Geordie boyfriend, here is all you need to know about Adam Collard.

Adam is a 27-year-old personal trainer and fitness coach from Newcastle upon Tyne.

He first shot to fame by appearing on the series four of ITV dating show, Love Island in 2018. He entered the villa as a ‘bombshell’ on Day 1, which gave him the opportunity to ‘steal’ one of the already ‘coupled up’ girls.

He chose Kendall Rae-Knight, before Welsh solicitor Rosie Williams entered the villa on Day Four and caught Adam’s eye.

The pair ‘coupled up’ on the show, and were seemingly loved up, before Adam chose to re-couple with a new villa entrant, Zara McDermott.

This sparked a controversial argument between Adam and Rosie, where Rosie called out Adam for his unacceptable behaviour towards her on the show.

Adam’s response to Rosie led to UK charity Women’s Aid to release a statement on his behaviour, warning viewers about “emotional abuse” and saying that there were clear warning signs in Adam’s behaviour.

Women’s Aid spoke up once again about Adam last year, to condemn ITV for casting him in the 2022 series of the show.

Adam returned to the Love Island villa for Series Eight, becoming the first former Island to appear on the show more than once.

During the show he ‘coupled up’ with Swansea paramedic Paige Thorne, but the pair separated after the show ended, amid rumours that Adam had cheated.

Adam’s most recent reality television show appearance was on Celebs Go Dating, where again his behaviour towards women was discussed on the show, with Adam admitting he had a “wandering eye”.
