Geordie presenting duo Ant and Dec have proved once again that they are just like the rest of us, after claiming to be ‘buzzing’ to see a superstar perform.

The pair who met on the set of Newcastle based children’s drama series Byker Grove, have since achieved great success as the nation’s favourite TV presenters, with a career spanning over 30 decades.

Despite their own fame, Ant and Dec have stayed true to their Geordie roots, and are always supporting other artists. The pair recently headed back to Newcastle to see Sam Fender perform, where they called him their “Geordie nephew”.

In a recent post uploaded to the presenting duo’s Instagram account, they shared a photo of themselves alongside iconic musician, Sir Elton John.  In the photo, the three of them can be seen smiling, wearing smart yet casual and incredibly similar outfits.

The photo was captioned: “Still buzzing about seeing Elton John in Paris”, alongside a starry eyed emoji, which is usually used to describe the feeling of being starstruck.

Elton John is currently on his Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour, which has been ongoing for the last three years. The tour is Elton John’s final concert tour before he retires from performing live.

Ant and Dec also included a link to Elton John’s deluxe album, Diamonds. The three disc greatest hits compilation album includes Elton John’s biggest hits spanning from the 1970s until present day.

Despite the album originally being released in 2017, the presenting duo included the link with the caption: “LET’S GET HIM TO NO.1” alongside a hands up emoji.
