From the Fenwicks window to the city centre's Christmas market and more, these are some of the dates to remember if you plan on celebrating Christmas across Tyneside.

What has already happened?

So far we have already seen the Fenwicks window unveiling, with this year's theme being The Chronicles of Narnia. This was revealed on Sunday, November 5, kickstarting Christmas in Newcastle.

We also saw the Centre for Life ice rink open on Sunday, November 11. This will be open throughout the Christmas period and into 2024.

Finally, Christmas officially started on Tyneside on Tuesday, November 14 when the city's Christmas lights were officially turned on.

But what have we still got to wait for before the big day?

Anyone who prefers the New Year celebrations to festive offerings can look forward to the New Year Laser Light City on the Quayside.
