Dogs Trust: 13 charming dogs and puppies looking for a forever home in the North East

Here are the dogs hoping to find their forever home this week.

There are so many puppies in search of their forever home this week across the North and North East.

Darlington, Cumbria and Leeds rehoming centres are hoping to find lovely homes for their dogs in order to give them the best possible lives.

Rosie (10yo Greyhound) is looking for her forever retirement home with best pal Wilma (10yo Staffordshire Bull Terrier). These two lovely ladies are total 'pawfection'. If you are looking love, affection and attention, these ladies are the pair for you. They are social butterflies with both dogs and people and would fit into a variety of different homes.

Rosie and Wilma are both housetrained and travel well in the car, whilst with us they are spending their time in one of our loving foster homes where they have settled in amazingly. They can be left alone for a few hours, can live with children aged 4 plus and could potentially live with another current family dog. You won’t be applying for a specific dog, but you can tell us what type of dog you’re looking for. You can also add up to four favourites to your application to give us an idea of the dogs you like, so we can consider you for similar dogs. Once you’ve submitted your application, we can’t change or update your favourites. Adding a dog to your application is not a reservation but a guide for us to find you a match.

Lola has had a sheltered life so can find the big wide world overwhelming. Giving her time and space for her to come out of her shell you will be rewarded with seeing her playful nature. Chasing a ball is one of her favourite games. Lola is fan of high value treats which is great way to start up a budding friendship and aid her on going training. With patient owners and the right set up, we are sure Lola will thrive and it is going to be such a reward watching her blossom. Soldier is a big fan of company and would love his new family to be able to give him lots of attention and be at home with him throughout the day. He's been great meeting all the team at the centre and loves showing off his toys. Although he can like his toys a bit too much at times and is learning a 'swapsie' cue. For this reason he'd best with older teens (16yrs+) to live with. There shouldn't be any other dogs in the home as Soldier would like the spotlight for himself. He could potentially have some walking pals to help with his social skills.
