Gateshead bar launches hilarious giveaway over the bank holiday weekend

A Gateshead pub has launched a hilarious giveaway to commemerate the Easter weekend.

The Central Bar, just off the Tyne Bridge on the Gateshead side, has announced people who fit a certain criteria will receive a free pint.

Starting off fairly normal, a sign outside the building reads: ‘Good Friday drinks offer: free pint for anyone who:

‘Surname is ‘Good’; Played ‘Man Friday’ in a theatre production; Is carrying a 7ft wooden cross.’

They further stipulated the wooden cross must be made out of dogwood, pinewood or oak and must be left outside for health and safety reasons.

So, if anyone happens to stumble across Jesus walking around the Toon, luckily you’ll know where to direct him.
