Geordie Shore star Gaz Beadle shares shock family news as he posts ‘in sickness and health’ update

Former Geordie Shore star, Gary Beadle-McVey has shared that his wife, Emma Beadle-McVey has suffered from a collapsed lung after undergoing heart surgery.

34-year-old Gaz starred on Geordie Shore from the first series in 2011, before leaving the show in 2017 after he and Emma announced they were expecting their first child together. The couple married in 2021, and now share two young children together.

Gaz revealed on an Instagram post to his 3.7 million followers, that one of Emma’s lungs had collapsed after an operation on heart, and is currently recovering in hospital.

The Metro reported that Emma has suffered from a heart defect since birth, and had to undergo heart surgery to fix her valve and three holes in her heart. Although Gaz explained that surgery went to plan, one of Emma’s lungs collapsed after the surgery.

Gaz described the situation as “the hardest thing our family will ever go through”, explaining that the children were “emotional wrecks” as they missed their “mummy”.

The post was accompanied by an image of Gaz and Emma in hospital, with Emma in pink pyjamas with a smile on her face, despite the circumstances. Other images in the post included a quote which read “in sickness and in health”, and photos of the children making get well soon cards for their mother.

Gaz further explained that Emma is “smashing it”, and despite being ill is still constantly messaging her husband from hospital to check on the kids.

Gaz also expressed his love for Emma in the caption, and said they hope she can return home to be with her family by the middle of next week.
