Newcastle’s own Ant and Dec are the nation’s favourite presenters, having won the prestigious NTA Award for Best Presenter 21 times. They are back on our screens presenting the most recent series of I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here, which has starred Matt Hancock, Boy George and Chris Moyles alongside other celebrities competing to be crowned king or queen of the jungle.

Both Ant and Dec were born and raised in Newcastle, Ant in Fenham and Dec in Cruddas Park. After meeting on the set of Newcastle children’s TV show Byker Grove, the pair became incredibly successful overnight and have continued to have a great career spanning over 30 years. Due to their fantastic career, presenting the likes of Britain’s Got Talent and Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway alongside I’m a Celeb, fans have begun to speculate how much the pair are worth.

First of all, Ant and Dec are said to have a golden handcuff deal with ITV, which means that the pair can only work with them. It is said that the pair earn £3.3M a month for all of their presenting jobs across ITV, totalling the deal at around £40M, as reported by Capital.fm. This means that the duo earn £12,000 per day during the presenting of I’m a Celeb, as reported by The Daily Star.

Ant and Dec’s net worth is estimated to be around £62M each, which is certainly a far cry from their modest upbringing in Newcastle. However, it hasn’t been all financial gain for the pair as it was reported that Ant went through an expensive divorce from his first wife Lisa Armstrong. It is also said that the pair - who invest their fortunes into properties - suffered a financial loss of £2.5M when a luxury apartment complex collapsed in the Algarve.

Given the close working relationship the pair have, it has also been reported that the pair have insured their deals with ITV against the other’s death, which is said to be worth around £1M each.
