I visited Banyan Newcastle on Saturday, May 4 to experience their new brunch for the first time, and I had the best experience!

As a huge fan of bottomless brunches, most due to my love of food and cocktails, I may be a hard customer to please, but Banyan Newcastle ticked every single box, and will for sure be returning in the future.

Before we get into the details of the delicious food I enjoyed as well as the exciting drinks, I must start off by mentioning the incredible customer service.

For some, a bottomless brunch can be intimidating as you may not know what you are entitled to, however the staff explained everything in detail and answered every question we had.

We were also appointed a server, a girl named Neve who was incredibly attentive, and was full of positive energy.

She recommended drinks options for us to try, kept our prosecco glasses topped up, and made sure we were having a great time throughout the experience - which we definitely were!

As soon as we sat down we were given prosecco to sip on as we looked at the food menu, before deciding on which dish we wanted.

The food menu is divided into pre-3pm, which is made up of lighter dishes and breakfast meals, and a post-3pm menu which includes burgers, chicken dishes and more.

Our bottomless brunch began at 1.30pm, so we chose from the pre-3pm menu. I decided to go for Poached Eggs with Scottish Smoked Salmon and friend Olivia chose the Breakfast Hash.

We both thoroughly enjoyed our dishes, as they were cooked to perfection, and I’m still thinking about those beautiful poached eggs, which were dripping in a mouth-watering Hollandaise sauce.

Olivia felt the same about her Breakfast Hash, which she said was packed with spicy, Chorizo bits, describing it as “spicy and yummy”.

Speaking of spice, our first cocktail choice was a Bloody Mary, and our server Neve asked how spicy we would like it. I appreciated this, as I take the levels of spice in a Bloody Mary very seriously. We both opted for the most spice possible, and it blew our socks off in the best way.

After that, we tried and enjoyed pretty much every cocktail on the menu, at the recommendation of Neve, which included; Raspberry Ripple, Aperol Spritz, Poached Pear Spritz, and Bombay Bramble and Mixer (I chose Lemonade).

Although we didn’t choose these options, they also offer non-alcoholic cocktails as well as an upgraded cocktail menu for a little extra on price.

Although the bottomless brunch ended after two hours, we were allowed to stay at our table for a little longer to ensure we finished our drinks, which we really appreciated.

Overall, I had the most amazing experience at Banyan Newcastle. From the delicious food and cocktails, to the above and beyond customer service, the experience could not be faulted. I will certainly be returning, and would recommend everyone to give it a go. It may become your favourite bottomless brunch experience in Newcastle.
