I am such a huge fan of cocktails, especially during the summer months. Once that warm air hits my face, my mind instantly thinks of enjoying a refreshing cocktail in the sun.

This means that Newcastle based alcohol brand Kocktail, is a sure favourite of mine. The company was founded in 2020 by Andrew Hutchinson and Neil Donachie, experienced mixologists who wanted to provide high quality ready to drink cocktails, to be enjoyed from home.

Their newest cocktail is the Strawberry & Lychee Margarita, which was launched on Wednesday, June 21, and I have to say it is certainly an essential summer beverage.

I decided to try the brand-new cocktail at the weekend, as I was hosting a summer garden party to celebrate my birthday.

Well, on first taste I was already in love with the delicious fruity notes. I filled my glass with ice, shook the cocktail and poured it over the ice. It was incredibly sweet, with a slight sour aftertaste. The combination of Strawberry and Lychee made for a complimentary yet contrasting taste, which went down a treat for me.

The cocktail was the perfect addition to the garden party, and certainly helped to elevate the summer vibes.

I do have to point out that Kocktail’s drinks are incredibly strong. It’s certainly a good thing for those who love a strong drink. However, for those who enjoy a weaker beverage, I did try the drink mixed with lemonade and it tasted just as delightful.

In my opinion, Kocktail never misses when it comes to a brand-new launch, with each flavour as good as the last, while uniquely standing on its own. As a cocktail lover, I am hoping to make my way through their whole range.
