Manhunt after man flashes genitals at woman in Killingworth

Police are appealing for any information that may lead to them finding a man wanted in connection with a disturbing report of indecent exposure in Killingworth.

An investigation was launched after police received a report that at around 5 pm on October 24, a 28-year-old female was approached by an unknown man in West Bailey, Killingworth after getting off a bus.

The woman reported being approached from behind by the man, who then removed his clothing and exposed his genitals, before fleeing from the scene on foot.

Officers have carried out a number of enquiries so far, including a review of CCTV and speaking with witnesses, however, now they need the public’s help.

As part of their investigation, officers have today (Wednesday) released the images of a man they would like to trace. He was in the area at the time of the incident and could have valuable information that may assist the ongoing investigation.
