Despite being born and raised in the South of the UK, with family from the North East it almost seemed inevitable that I too would eventually call the best city in the UK home. I first came to Newcastle as a student in 2016 and enjoyed four incredible years on Tyneside. A certain virus forced me to return down South after graduating until, after a long 18 months of missing friendly Geordie faces and the price of a pint, the chance to become part of the team at NewcastleWorld was an unmissable one. When not reporting on all the ins and outs of life in the city, you can find me tackling the cross country courses of the North East with the mad hatters at Gateshead Harriers or braving the cold at Sunderland Rowing Club. There really is something special about this part of the world and it's my role to tell you all about it.
