Mulligans Newcastle launches cocktails disguised as pints for world cup
Newcastle bars are starting to get us in the mood for the World Cup.
A golf site in Newcastle is encouraging groups to watch the upcoming World Cup at their venue by offering cocktails disguised as pints of beer.
While the spot on Newgate Street is well known as a spot for its cocktails, anyone who is planning to get caught up with World Cup fever this summer can enjoy their usual drink under the cover of a pint.

Spectators who are beer-averse can order their choice of drink and let the bartender know that they’re ‘just here for the vibes’, and they’ll receive their drink in a half pint glass, so other guests will be none the wiser about what they’re sipping.
Mai Tais and Pink Grapefruit Margaritas will be available as pseudo-pints during the World Cup, as a double serving for £14.

Fans can book tables from £10, which includes two drinks, every day throughout the tournament which starts on Thursday, June 11 and runs until the final on Sunday, July 19.
Mulligans also offers private booths complete with their own big screens and extra space to celebrate the major moments. The VIP package costs £220 and includes 3 hours' use of the booth, a beer tower which holds 6 pints of a house beer of their choice, and a sharing food platter.
Bookings can be made through the Mulligans website.
