'Needs to be on TV' - Northumberland Zoo goes viral with Gen Z slang video
Social media, for all its faults, can often be good fun. For every bit of nasty content, there’s just as many videos, memes and images to make you laugh.
And this time, it’s an unlikely North East venue who have been getting in on the act.

Hide AdNorthumberland Zoo’s most recent video post has gone viral, getting tens of thousands of social media interactions, across various platforms. And it’s fair to say, it’s all in the delivery.
The family-run, not-for-profit attraction has been making waves, not for its animals, which is the usual pull, but for deadpan directors delivering a video titled “When the Gen Z staff write the Marketing Script.”
Using terms such as ‘Slay’ and the viral ‘very cutesy, very mindful, very demure’ TikTok trend, the two unnamed zoo directors are definitely getting into the spirit as they showcase everything the venue has to offer, including the meerkats and more.
Social media reaction
The posts have definitely gone down well on socials, which will have undoubtedly spread word of the zoo’s presence far and wide.
