'New and improved' Greggs opens on Newcastle's Northumberland Street

Greggs has officially opened its new and improved Northumberland Street shop in Newcastle city centre.
The North East-based bakery chain has created five new jobs as a result of refurbishing one of Newcastle's busiest Greggs shops.

Hide AdThe work has modernised the look of the Northumberland Street shop and created a new lay out for the store.
Gemma Armstrong, the shop manager, has expressed her excitement at being able to welcome customers back to the shop.
She said: “We can’t wait to welcome both Greggs fans and new customers to our brand-new shop.

Hide Ad"We’ve got an amazing range of tasty bakes, hot drinks, sweet treats and savouries available for takeaway or Click + Collect.”
Gillian Long, retail operations director for Greggs, has given an insight into what customers can expect from the "new and improved" store.
She added: “We’re excited to be welcoming customers to our improved shop in Newcastle, with five new members joining the existing team.
"We look forward to providing customers with a modern, convenient new place to experience their favourite Greggs food.”

Hide AdGreggs has confirmed that customers to the shop will be able to purchase all the iconic food and drink products that are associated with the bakery chain.
The new and improved shop will be open from 6.30am until 8.30pm Monday to Saturday and from 8am until 6pm on Sundays.
