North Tyneside coffee company to offer free drink to Great North Run participants

A North Tyneside coffee chain is kindly offering a free drink to those participating in the Great North Run 2023.

Cullercoats Coffee Co, who have a cafe located on John Street in Cullercoats, as well as a take away only shop on Front Street in Tynemouth, have provided the offer as part of the Great North Run 2023 celebrations.

The offer is available to anyone attempting the iconic half-marathon, on the morning of the Great North Run 2023, which will be taking place this Sunday, September 10.

The coffee chain is offering the hot drink as a way to help runners feel energised for the half-marathon.

To claim the free cup of coffee, runners must show their race number to the barista.

Owner of Cullercoats Coffee Co,  Paul Stonebanks said: “The Great North Run is an incredible sporting event that raises a great amount of money for local charities.

He continued: “Having maximum energy level on the day is crucial to the race. Coffee is a well-known energy booster so we wanted to do our part in helping runners get fuelled.”

Cullercoats Coffee Co, who gained a five-star food hygiene rating in July of last year, also serves a variety of cafe food options, such as toasties.
