Owner, Laura Jackson and her partner, Nick, opened Friday Vintage earlier this year after taking the business from vintage markets to the high street. They stock vintage classics including leather jackets, boots and printed dress from across the decades. Shoppers will find unique pieces from the 50s to the 90s with a particular focus on the 70s in response to a resurgence of love for 70s fashion.
Laura describes Friday Vintage as “a labour of love and a passion project come to life.” She adds, “I have a passion for fashion but hate the waste that fast fashion creates. I have always wanted to open a vintage shop, it is literally a dream come true for me. We are so grateful to everyone who has supported us and chooses to shop small and sustainable.”
The shop has been shortlisted for the Sudocrem Pre Loved Awards, which includes six categories from Mum and Baby to Senior and Young Professional. There’s also Best Charity, Vintage Fair/Market, shop and Best Pre-Loved Online.
