Police search for man after attempted Newcastle burglary

Police in Newcastle are looking to trace a man in relation with a burglary in Newcastle.

Northumbria Police received a report of an attempted burglary at around 12:45 am on January 22 at an address on Maling Terrace.

It was reported that a suspicious male appeared outside of the victim’s front door and tried the handle, before being disturbed by the occupants and making off from the scene empty-handed.

An investigation is ongoing into the incident and officers have now identified a man who they would like to speak to in connection with the attempted burglary.

He was seen in the area at the time and could have valuable information that can assist the investigation.
