So, why were fans disappointed with his appearance on the show?

Here’s everything you need to know about the interview.

Why were fans upset with his appearance on The One Show?

During the show Atkinson was asked about his upcoming show by presenters Jermaine Jenas and Angela Scanlon.

The actor was also joined on the sofa by Top Gear host Chris Harris.

However, fans were quick to point out that Rowan Atkinson seemed to look uncomfortable, and were upset with the way the presenters Jenas and Scanlon conducted the interview.

One viewer tweeted: "I don’t think I’ve ever seen a more uncomfortable guest than Rowan Atkinson. The introvert is coming out, clearly not an experience he’s enjoying. #TheOneShow."

Many viewers commented that the interviewers kept cutting the comedian off when he was talking, and didn’t give him a chance to answer the questions they asked.

One Twitter user commented: "#TheOneShow pointless getting Rowan Atkinson if you ask him a question then keep butting in to try and shut him up!"

Does Rowan Atkinson have a stutter?

According to the Stutter Foundation, while it is not widely known, Rowan Atkinson does have a stutter.

Atkinson spoke on his stutter in a “10 Questions” column for the August 23, 2007, issue of Time magazine where one of the questions was “Did you ever overcome your serious stutter?”

His response was: “It comes and goes. I find when I play a character other than myself, the stammering disappears. That may have been some of the inspiration for pursuing the career I did.

How can I watch Man vs Bee?

The new show is a nine-part series of 10-minute long episodes. Man Vs Bee will be available for streaming on Netflix. It is scheduled for release on Friday 24 June.

It follows a man named Trevor, played by Atkinson, who has a bee in his house. The Netflix description reads: “Bumbling dad Trevor tries to get the best of a cunning bee while house-sitting a posh mansion - but only unleashes more chaos in this comedy series.”

While on The One Show Atkinson spoke on the character, and how he found the experience of creating the show: "It’s largely visual because it’s just Trevor in a house with a bee – and the bee doesn’t talk,"

"I liked playing him because he’s genuinely sweet, a genuinely good-natured man” he added.

"He’s got his problems and his issues. He’s not a perfect individual and the real problem he has is his obsessiveness."
