Newcastle fans of The Great British Bake Off can get a slice of the action themselves next year as judge Prue Leith brings a live show to Tyneside.

Known for being the good cop to Paul Hollywood’s bad cop, the friendly Bake Off judge is hitting the road with her first-ever live show in 2023.

Stops across the country include an evening at Newcastle’s iconic Tyne Theatre and Opera House on Friday, February 3 2023.

Prue is set to take audiences through the ups and downs of her life from restauranter to novelist and businesswoman. There will, of course, be a section dedicated to The Great British Bake Off too.

For the second half of the evening, Prue will be joined on stage by BAFTA nominated presenter Clive Tulloh, who will put audience questions to the baking star.

Tyne Theatre and Opera House Director Jo Johnson said: “We’re so excited to be hosting the Newcastle leg of Prue’s first ever live show! We can’t wait for audiences to hear her fascinating stories and even get a chance to ask the Bake-Off star any questions they have. It’s the perfect show for any foodie.”

Prue is currently gracing TV screens every Tuesday on Channel 4 as The Great British Bake Off hits its thirteenth season. The 82-year-old has been a judge on the show since 2017 when she took over from Mary Berry.

This year’s series was filmed in Berkshire country house Welford Park for the first time since 2019. The final is set to air on Tuesday, November 15.

Tickets to see Prue Leith at the Tyne Theatre and Opera House cost between £25 and £31 and can be purchased here.
