The Hairy Bikers list their must-visit Newcastle restaurants
These Newcastle restaurants come with a very high and very hairy reccomendation
One half of the Hairy Bikers, Si King, has picked his unmissable Newcastle restaurants.
The 55-year-old was born in Kibblesworth and went to school in Washington but knows Newcastle down to a T.
Speaking to NewcastleWorld this week, Si praised the Tyneside food scene and listed the must-visit eateries in the region.
From classic fish and chips to more exquisite fine dining, these are the restaurants Si loves to frequent and couldn't recommend more to Geordies and those visiting from further afield.

1. ROUTE - 35 Side, Newcastle upon Tyne NE1 3JE
Si said: “I love Route, it’s great what the boys do there. It’s fantastic. I like it because it’s seasonal foods done with a level of grace, care and finesse and that’s what you want when you go to a restaurant. They’ve got some innovative wines too.” Google said: “Chic, cosy bistro offering a seasonal menu of made-to-order small plates, plus a robust wine list.” (Image: Google Streetview)
