It’s less than 48 hours until doors open at The Hoppings on Newcastle’s Town Moor for the 2022 event.
The popular funfair celebrates its 140th anniversary this year and returns to Tyneside for the first time since Covid-19.
It’s set to be a bumper edition of the event with new rides aplenty, added entertainement sites and better infrastructure.
The Hoppings opens on Friday, June 17 and will welcome guests up until Saturday, June 25.
Ahead of the grand opening, NewcastleWorld and LocalTV spoke to Ryan Crow, Director of Crow Events.
The Hoppings insider shared his excitement for the event’s return and new aspects that Geordies can look forward to.

5. Super Trooper
“We have a new ride never featured before called the Super Trooper.”

“We’ve got a new entertainement area and have really improved the infrastucture to the site."
7. Alcohol will be served
“A bar will serve alcohol premium drinks with food only."
