Two parrots Fozzy and Saucey stolen from Saltwell Park in Gateshead

Saucey is known for repeating language he hears, including some swearing, which makes him very distinctive.

Two parrots have been stolen from Saltwell Park in Gateshead.

Police were alerted that two African Grey birds call Fozzy and Saucey were taken from their enclosure at around 2 pm on Wednesday, September 21. The suspects then made off in a car which was parked on East Park Road.

An investigation has been launched and police are working closely with Gateshead Council to try and return them.

Neither bird is ringed and park staff are increasingly concerned for the welfare of Fozzy and Saucey, as they need to be kept as a pair. One bird on its own will quickly become distressed.
