Dancing on Ice is set to return to screens at the beginning of 2023 with a new line-up of celebrities who have signed up to take on the ice skating reality show.

Each week the celebrities will learn a new ice skating routine to wow the four judges, Jayne Torvill, Christopher Dean, Ashley Banjo and Oti Mabuse.

Many of them have already begun their training to prepare for the first show of Dancing on Ice’s 15th season.

The ITV series has seen a host of celebrities undertake the challenge of learning to figure skate with 14 celebrities being crowned the winner since 2006.

Last year Regan Gascoigne was crowned the winner of the show and joined the ranks of Joe Swash and Ray Quinn who have previously been crowned winner.

She was born in Gateshead, Tyne and Wear on 19 July 1979.

The 43-year-old began her singing career in girl group Sirens towards the end of the 1990s with other girls from the northeast.

The singer attended Emmanuel City Technology College before attending the Newcastle College of Performing Arts.

What happened to Michelle Heaton’s health?

In 2021, Michelle Heaton was struggling with a drug and alcohol addiction and opened up about how she “wanted to die” whilst in the depths of her struggles.

The singer celebrated one year sober in April 2022 and thanked rehab for “saving her life”.

At the time she told Closer Magazine:  “I’d given up on life. At my lowest point, I’d wake up in the morning and pray for someone to help me or I just wanted to die.

“I didn’t care about losing my family or friends, it was only about where the next drink was coming from. My skin was grey, I was exhausted and my body was completely unrecognisable and bloated.”

Michelle also credits her good friend, Katie Price, for helping to save her from her addictions.

In 2012, Michelle Heaton was diagnosed with a mutated BRCA2 gene and found out that she had an 80 percent chance of developing breast cancer.

The news of Michelle’s chances with cancer resulted in her having a double masectomy and breast reconstructive surgery in the same year.
