For anyone who needs it, Sarah Millican will be hosting a twitter campaign to combat loneliness.
The campaign brings some much needed togetherness to Twitter, and to Christmas Day, which can often be one of the hardest days of the year for people.
While there is not too much information regarding this is not the first time Sarah Millican has run this campaign on Twitter.
This will be the eighth time the event has run on Christmas Day, and been an immense success, bringing people from all over the country together and giving them a shoulder to lean on if they feel lonely or sad this Christmas.
The comedian tweeted the announcement to her two million followers last night about the upcoming space she will be hosting:
“Worried about being alone or lonely this Christmas Day? Then stick with us on Twitter and #JoinIn.”
“I’ll post more info closer to the day but we’ll all be here to keep you company. Please RT and spread the word.”
The comedian’s website also encourages people to get involved:
“Hello all, If you’re not looking forward to Christmas Day, maybe jump on Twitter and follow the hashtag #joinin for some chat and company.”
“I’ll be there and so will lots of other lovely people. It’s our 8th year and is always so bloody lovely. Sarah xxx”
Many people and organisations are offering company this Christmas Day.
Park Run are also running their races as usual this Christmas, and have encouraged all to come along and say hello:
The Park Runs take place every Saturday at 9am, and all you need is a code from their website to take part for free. More information of you local park run can be found here.
