Newcastle United supporters were at their passionate best as they roared the Magpies on to what could be a crucial 2-0 win against Manchester United on Sunday afternoon.
The result means Eddie Howe’s side leapfrogged their visitors into third place in the Premier League table and further enhanced their chances of securing a return to the Champions League for the first time since the likes of Alan Shearer and Craig Bellamy were wearing black and white and Sir Bobby Robson was patrolling the touchline at St James Park.
The atmosphere during the win evoked memories of St James Park during Robson and Kevin Keegan’s managerial reigns and won praise from a whole host of pundits across several broadcasters.
