Alan Shearer weighs in on Newcastle United summer transfer targets

Alan Shearer is playing the part of a Newcastle United ambassador and agent after his son posted photos with two Real Madrid players.

Sharing photos of himself with Benzema and Vinicius Junior, Will Shearer said: ‘Not a bad trip,’ followed by the goat emoji (or, rather, greatest of all time.)

The tweet resulted in excitement amongst fans, with many commenting ‘Agent Will’ underneath. However, no one was more excited than his dad and Toon legend Alan Shearer.

The former no.9 shared the tweet with the demand: ‘Did you tell them how good the Toon is!!!!,’ complete with black and white hearts and a crazy face emoji.

However, the Shearers may be out of luck when it comes to players of Benzema and Vinicius Junior’s calibre. Just last week Eddie Howe hinted at United’s strategy come the summer transfer window.

When asked about the rumoured interest in Ronaldo and Neymer Jr, the Newcastle head coach said: “‘It is best to discover players before they explode onto the world scene.”
