Alexander Isak admits his Newcastle United contract situation will “probably be a talking point” this summer.
Speaking to the media last week, United CEO Darren Eales confirmed plans to address Isak’s future at the end of the season. The Sweden international is under contract until 2028 but is attracting interest from several clubs after scoring 57 in 99 games.

“The reality is that all of our players are under long-term deals. They’re committed to the club. So, from that perspective, we’re not looking to move any player on. We have no intention at all of those players being moved on.”

Last summer, Newcastle were forced to sell Elliot Anderson and Yankuba Minteh to comply with Premier League Profitability and Sustainability Rules (PSR). United also offloaded Miguel Almiron to Atlanta United and Lloyd Kelly to Juventus in January.

“We're not under the gun or anything like that. We've got an ownership that is ambitious and wants the best for the club. So, from that perspective, it'd be crazy for us to consider it (selling stars).”
Alexander Isak asked about Newcastle United contract situation
Isak sat alongside Bruno Guimaraes at Newcastle’s media centre to preview Sunday’s Carabao Cup final against Liverpool, one of several clubs linked with the 25-year-old.
When asked if he was open to contract talks this summer, Isak said: “Yeah, I think, as I've said, I'm not really thinking about the summer. But yeah, that'll probably be a talking point once the season's finished. “Yeah, we'll really see, but no talks have been held yet.

But, yeah, I've said I'm happy here, and we are contenders for title, which is where you want to win as a football player. We've been in a final and now we're in another one, so I think the chances are there.”
