'My story' - Allan Saint-Maximin joins Champions League club - one year after Newcastle exit
The Frenchman left St James’ Park after four years last summer for Saudi Pro League side Al Ahli. He scored four goals and provided 10 assists to help his side finish third in the league table last season.
Saint-Maximin remains under contract at Al Ahli but confirmed earlier today he will spend the upcoming campaign on loan.

The club Saint-Maximin has joined is Turkish giants Fenerbahce, who managed by former Chelsea, Real Madrid and Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho.

Hide AdA club statement read: “Welcome to Fenerbahçe Allan Saint-Maximin. Our club reached an agreement with French winger Allan Saint-Maximin and his club Al-Ahli for the 1-year loan transfer.
“The 27-year-old football player will wear the Fenerbahce jersey in the 2024-25 season. We say 'Welcome to our family' to Allan Saint-Maximin and wish him many more championships with Fenerbahce.”
Saint-Maximin will be able to fulfil his dream of playing Champions League football having been sold by Newcastle prior to their involvement. The Turkish club face Swiss side FC Lugano in a qualifier next week.
The maverick winger remains a popular figure among Newcastle fans, who continue to monitor his career. Saint-Maximin’s reported £22m departure last year enabled the Magpies to sign Harvey Barnes and Tino Livramento, and comply with Premier League Profitability and Sustainability Rules (PSR).
