Five eye-watering Tyneside mansions that could tempt any new Newcastle United signings
It’s a busy summer of business for Eddie Howe and Newcastle United and any new names will be needing a house
Despite securing a couple of top targets so far, the rumours around Newcastle United's transfer business continue to swirl and the population of Premier League players on Tyneside will no doubt increase before the start of September.
Any new football signings will be hoping to settle down in the North East and buckle in for what looks to be a bright few years ahead for The Magpies.
A comfortable house is vital in doing that with many players coming with partners and families.
Luckily for any new signings, the property market in Newcastle is buoyant at the moment - especially when it comes to homes at the upper end of the market.
Within the city's neighbourhoods are property hotspots such as Jesmond's Golden Triangle, the streets of Gosforth and millionaire mansions in Ponteland.
Matt Targett, Sven Botman and Nick Pope may have already splashed the cash to invest in a cushy mansion but, if they haven't, there are plenty out there.
NewcastleWorld looks at five properties in the region that could tempt those names, or any other big-money arrivals coming to Newcastle United.

1. Graham Park Road, Gosforth
This plush six-bedroom house in Gosforth hit the market at the end of June and would cost any new Newcastle United arrivals a cool £2,350,000. Not that the price would be a problem for a Premier League high-flyer! Photo: Rightmove

2. Modern furnishings
The house is super modern thanks to recent renovations, extensions and refurbishment. The property boats approximately 5,600 square feet of floor space across three levels. Photo: Rightmove

3. Great privacy
There’s also a private driveway that fits a handful of cars, meaning any Magpies signing could invite new teammates round with suitable privacy. Photo: Rightmove

4. Enviable location
Pat Robson Director Tim Nixon said: “Central Gosforth’s prestigious conservation area is home to some of the city’s most desirable properties. The tree-lined streets of The Grove, Graham Park Road and Elmfield Road attract big-budget family buyers, drawn by the area’s fine late nineteenth-century architecture, mature gardens and proximity to outstanding amenities and schools.” Photo: Rightmove
