Four clubs move for Newcastle United standout who starred in pre-season
Newcastle United youngster Jamie Miley is edging closer to a St James’ Park loan exit, according to reports.
The 20-year-old revealed during the club’s pre-season trip to Japan that a temporary switch may be on the cards. Miley, whose younger brother Lewis broke into the first-team ranks last season, was given a chance to shine before the Premier League campaign.

Eddie Howe admitted last week that the midfielder had impressed against SpVgg Unterhaching, Hull City and Girona. However, with a competitive engine room on Tyneside, the Toon boss also views a loan move as the best option.
“We’ll always make an individual decision but certainly he is someone that falls into the category of possibly benefiting from a loan,” he said a week ago. “This pre-season I think we’ve seen a big jump in his level of performance and renewed confidence. He looks good physically so let’s wait and see what happens.”
Football Insider now claim Northampton Town, Crawley Town, Gillingham and Newport County are interested. A queue of lower-league clubs are keen to sign Miley as he attempts to kick-start his professional career.
