Reported Newcastle United target Lucas Paqueta has been given given the seal of approval by current Magpies star Joelinton.
The attacking midfielder has been linked with a move to Tyneside ever since United completed a move for his Lyon and Brazil team-mate Bruno Guimaraes during the January transfer window.

The speculation was further fuelled last month when reports in France suggested Paqueta had informed Lyon of his desire to leave the Ligue 1 club during the summer transfer window.
Newcastle are not the only Premier League club linked with a move for the former AC Milan midfielder after Arsenal were suggested as a possible destination for Paqueta by several media sources.
But the link with Newcastle refuses to go away and current Magpie Bruno addressed a possible reunion with his ‘best friend’ during an interview with ESPN in April.

He said “It would be my dream. Paqueta is my best friend.
“We made a relationship, not only on the field, but we lived together all the time outside.
“Our wives together too. It was a brotherly relationship, we still talk every day.

“It would be really cool if he could come here, but I can’t do this job.”
Should United opt to make a move for Paqueta, they could field an exciting all-Brazilian midfield with the Lyon star joining Bruno and Joelinton in the heart of Eddie Howe’s side.
And the latter of that trio has also discussed the possibility of Paqueta moving to St James Park after meeting him earlier this year.

“It would be great,” the Magpies midfielder told The Sun.
“I met him last season in Newcastle with Bruno and we just played a bit of ball and chatted.
“He’s a great guy and, if he comes, I will be very happy because he is really a great player.”
