Newcastle United head into the winter break with a feel-good factor about them following the 1-0 win at Leeds United.

They say in football, all it takes is one win, and so that has proved to be the case with victory at Elland Road handing the Magpies fresh hope and positivity as they battle to retain their Premier League status.

It was only United’s second win of the campaign, but it did feel like a potential turning point. At least that is what head coach Eddie Howe is hoping for when his side return from Saudi Arabia to play Everton on February 8.

Here’s how some of the NUFC players reacted to that win at Leeds:

Martin Dubravka - ‘Thank you for your amazing support’

Kieran Trippier - ‘Just what we needed’

Fabian Schar - ‘Thank you for your great support’

Allan Saint-Maximin - ‘Thank you for the love and support’

Isaac Hayden - ‘Love it, lads!’

Mehrdad Ghodoussi - ‘What a day’

Jamie Reuben - ‘Passionate and determined performance’
