Newcastle United winger Tom Allan has bid an emotional farewell to the club after more than 10 years on the Magpies’ books.

Allan was one of a number of United youth products who will not be kept on as the club released its academy retained list ahead of what is likely to be a very busy summer on Tyneside.

"I'd like wish the players leaving us the very best of luck with their careers.

"For the players staying with us, there is a new challenge ahead of them and we look forward to seeing them back for pre-season."
