Manchester United & Liverpool snubbed as Newcastle United new signing pictured at St James’ Park

England under-16s international Trevan Sanusi has confirmed he has joined Newcastle United from Championship side Birmingham City.
The winger, who only turned 16 in April, trained with the Blues’ first team during parts of last season and was included in the travelling squad for an away Championship fixture at Blackpool.

Sanusi, an England under-16s international, was a regular at under-21s level last term, which saw several English top-flight clubs send scouts to watch him.
Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur were among the clubs to show interest but as reported by NewcastleWorld last week, Newcastle have won the race for his signature.
Sanusi confirmed his move via Instagram after posting photos of him at St James’ Park with the caption “hard work continues...”.

“I want to take this opportunity to announce that I have decided to choose a new pathway in my development away from @bcfc,” he said. “I want to thank all the staff, my teammates and supporters for their help throughout the last 11 years.
“I wish all the best for @bcfc and will be forever thankful. 💙🤍”
Newcastle have significantly bolstered its academy ranks over the summer by signing exciting talent for all age groups.
